I have had the proverbial sewing rug pulled out from me, several times over the past couple years. Each time it happens my sewjo seems to really struggle, and this last time really laid me low. We have had a rough year personally and it just topped it off. So all that to say, I haven’t sewn. I have two projects sitting on my table, that just stopped in the middle. I never leave projects unfinished, but there it sits. When Christmas came, I really wanted to make my husband little something and when I saw this free pattern from @mellysews , I knew it was the thing. It was small enough, quick enough, and being a gift it was enjoyable. So here it is. My final sew from 2022 and hopefully the sew that will start bringing back my sewjo.

My kids have been working hard the past month, learning all about elections and even running their own campaigns. Since we have two pups, they each picked one and they are running for Pup President 2022. Please help them out and take a sec to vote for one!! Not hoodie weather here 😩 so I’m still making myself new pj/lounge sets and bras and underwear. Love that overlap lettuce hem on the shorts 😍

Have sewing plans, but #momlife won’t cooperate.

It’s been a crazy few weeks at my house including a serger break 😭. BUT my hubby got me a new serger, and I got to use it to make myself this new dress. 🥳 Not exactly lemons and lemonade but I think this is better anyways 😆
